Bhowali is well connected by road. The nearest major railhead is Kathgodam, about 35 kilometres away, from where taxis and buses are available, and Pantnagar Airport is around 70 kilometres away. From New Delhi, it is roughly a 300-kilometre drive via the NH9 and NH109, taking about 7 to 8 hours. Regular buses and shared taxis ply from Haldwani and Nainital. Within Bhowali, local taxis and auto-rickshaws are the main modes of transport, and walking is feasible in the central area.
